Welcome To Zior
You have reached the home page for Brian Honeycutt's novel, The Waters of Zior - A Heart Song.
Each day, gentle, enigmatic Jorral awakens to a world flush with the blessings of utopia. Zior is a planet immersed in peace, cooperation, abundance, and spiritual awakening. Here children are taught to be themselves, while all of Zior's inhabitants engage in deeply harmonious work with the natural world. Anger, frustration, and violence are mental constructs of the past. Now the spiritual aspirants and masters of Zior engage in deep meditation, honing psychic tools such as telepathy, and work with crystals that power their civilization.
Soon, however, Jorral's world is turned upside down, as he is enlisted to embark on an interstellar voyage to save his home. The visionary waters of Zior that give life to all the planet's inhabitants have grown dark, contaminated somehow by mysterious unseen forces. Now it is up to Jorral and a host of companions to travel through time and space, on a journey to recapture the purity and light that was once so vital to Zior's life force.
With Jorral are a host of intriguing characters, including the Changeling Prince, the shapeshifting prophet who led Zior out of its darkest hour, Rax, a quiet, strong engineer whose personality has been split into three separate entities, and Tysha, a dashing, feisty pilot who seems to have passionate feelings for Rax. They must all work together to navigate the treacherous seas of space and soul travel in order to find a solution to Zior's plight.
All is not quiet on the home front either. Jorral's life mate, Ninnia, is in charge of helping raise the youth of Zior to be enlightened and free individuals, even if the world may be coming to an end with her lover flying throughout the vast reaches of space. In the midst of her longing for Jorral's safe return, Ninnia begins to have unusual, inexplicable interactions with a magnetic and strikingly good looking stranger. Enter Lexi, a young man obsessed with discovering a pattern to the rhythms of life on Zior, in the hopes that one day he will be able to discern some form of order amidst the chaos, and save his species from ruin. Neither is sure why the other continues to appear in their presence, but the feeling of important synchronicity taking place pulls them ever deeper into the web of each other's lives.
Confronted with the possibility of the complete destruction of his race, Jorral will be taken on a journey that will change his life forever, a journey that will lead him through the cosmos towards the very origins of his soul's existence, and the salvation of all he has ever known.
The Waters of Zior – A Heart Song is a tale filled with adventure, penetrating spiritual insights, romantic fantasy, and childlike comedic glee. It is an intergalactic odyssey, a descriptive vision of utopia, and a spiritual text all rolled into one. It is the heart and soul of a planet shaped into words. It is a vision of hope, of surrender, of the limitless intelligence of the universe, and of the power of love.
